How we protect our customer’s privacy
PeopleNet Communications Corporation (PeopleNet) is strongly committed to protecting the privacy of users of our Wireless Fleet Solutions. This policy discloses PeopleNet’s privacy and information retention practices.
Retention And Use
Information regarding your company derived from your use of the PeopleNet system, such as messaging information, location histories, and subscriber names and addresses, is owned by your company and entrusted to PeopleNet. We do not reveal information we collect about your company, your company’s use of our service or any information that individuals may send through our system to anyone else.
PeopleNet will only release information, including personal driver e-mail records, to a third party upon command of a court order and after notifying the affected party whom then does not object within 14 days of notice. The only exception to this policy is in the case of a criminal subpoena (i.e., government court order). In that case, PeopleNet will provide notification but must release the information to the appropriate party.
Personal Driver E-Mail
Personal driver e-mail messages are considered the property of the driver and not the driver’s company. PeopleNet will not read or disclose personal driver e-mail communications that are transmitted using the PeopleNet system to a third party or the subscribing company except as required to operate the service or as otherwise authorized by law, e.g. a court order.
PeopleNet has implemented the highest levels of technology and security features available and adhere to strict policy guidelines to safeguard customer information from unauthorized intrusions. We will continue to enhance our security procedures as new technologies become available.
Internal Use Of Information
Internally, PeopleNet restricts access to personal driver e-mail messages and PeopleNet system information to employees who need access to the information in order to do their jobs. These employees are committed to our privacy and security policies.
PeopleNet may use customer identifiable information to investigate and help prevent potentially unlawful activity or activity that threatens the network or otherwise violates the customer agreement for that service.
PeopleNet reserves the right to amend this privacy statement at any time with or without notice. If you have concerns about this privacy statement, you may contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org or by calling 1-888-346-3486.
